Scrape Box Tips

first thing..scrape box testing is rather slow
to increase this change these options
open scrapebox ini file edit the following
for faster leeching and testing

Threads=300
ProxyHarvester=200

this will increase the speed it leeches
and will test proxies alot faster..

time out default is 30 seconds
imagine testing say 10k proxies
where 7k are timed out - that means
7000 proxies each being re-tested for 30
seconds each. advise set it lower alot lower

TimeOut= use between 3-5. to lessen test time.

this next part only effects using socks proxies only
now if u use the internal leech option u will see if u
saved any proxies back to the main window all socks
back in the main windows list will look like this

S68.46.19.168:6830
S216.196.224.23:8091
S68.42.227.230:8176
S67.81.179.106:8719
S67.165.59.30:8837

when u import your leeched and tested proxies back to
the main window all socks will have a capital S at the start
of each port number.

why is this important - because if you take a list of socks say
from a post u might find and just load them into your main programe
window to run without testing they will look like this and will not work

the point being leeched lists checked and tested and sent back to
the main window carry the capital S... a socks list loaded into the
main programme window without testing and try to use, all socks
will fail..

as of now proxiecentral now has a new scrape box category
for all VIP members.. hope these tips help...

sample of my own proxies i test in scrape box tonight..



all the lists posted in my forum are mixed lists of
socks and anon proxies, so to get the socks in
the list to work u must re-test the whole list then
send it back to main windows or the socks will fail
if you try loading then directly into the main windows
and only the anon proxies will work as the capital S
will be gone.

and for t***s who say whats this S all about
heres the s.p.o.o.n. fed version

socks that are tested from the internal leecher
then sent back to the main programme so use

ok so here was have a few socks collected from
the leecher i removed all anon proxies to make the
point socks tested , dead removed



now when the socks proxies are sent back to the
main programme look at how the programme shows
them listed. each sock has the letter S at the start
of each port - this format means they will run.
see pic below.


if how ever u deciede to grab a list of socks
from a post somewhere and not test them but
just throw them in the main window to use
you will see the capital S is gone and any attempt
to run them will fail see pic



put simple if u have a list of socks or a list of
anon proxies/socks never just throw them in the
main window to use as all socks will fail..

send any imported liste to the proxy checker
then send them back to the main window so
that the programme applys ths S to the socks
in the list.. understand?

finaly which file to edit the settings for faster

FINAL test was to inport 20k mixed proxies anon
socks thrown in the tester..20k on default settings
would take about 2hrs.. with new text edited settings
list loaded leached from 669 sources .
note - while loading a list that large dont touch the
mouse - or the programme will fail to respond and crash.

working ammount = 20k
time taken = 29mins
working = 660
this was without me adding my socks into the test list

if you have any problems using my proxies use this
it seems to help so im told

open scrape box folder
go into configeration folder
open the file scrapebox ini file


change the settings below to these
ProxyRetries=2

ProxyHarvester=35000


last setting to change.
turn on scrapebox - click settings tab
adjust max connections tab
set proxy harvester slider to 75 or 100 - press apply


works for everyone whos done it [ eveyone ]
and always keep scrapebox upto date

It's little outdated but you can make it work if you think a bit.

explain how editing the scrapebox ini file
is outdated ?
people edit it all the time for speed inprovements

b4 we start make sure scrapebox is upto date first



then do the following
first of all goto options - make sure there isnt a check
mark against > use new proxy harvester <
i prefer the old 1 i find it works better for me option is found
here



next is the timout setting for testing proxies, by default it should
be 45.00s if it isnt theres 2 reasons why. 1 you changed it.
2 you havnt updated scrapebox to the latest version.
adjust to 45.00s. how to change?
goto settings > adjust time out settings > proxy harvester time out 45
press apply / ok if you asked to



next set the amount of proxies to be tested on your connection
the faster your connection the higher you go, for safest results set on
aprox 15-30 to do this click on
settings > adjust maximum connections > proxy harvester slider to 15/30
press apply / ok if asked to



if after all this you still cant get any working public
proxies theres only 1 reason [ YOUR SOURCES ]
last year i could get 1.5k passed the google check
this year its down to 300 + for me and i scrape for
a living - so it will be harder for you guys,

these are the settings im using to get the best
out of proxies - these should work for you as well.

time out setting - 45.00s
connections try 15 if your net is slow
multi thread harvester retry 4

to adjust this
goto settings tab - adjust multi thread harvester from
2-4 apply
